Anticipating spring - into the cold frame

It's 55 degrees out after too many days of grey, cold, snow, sleet, and ice. This morning I took the leap and took out the transplanted spinach, parsley, lettuce, sweet william, onions, scallions, chinese cabbage and salvia and put them in the coldframe. They will be covered with shade cloth for a few days to get them used to the stronger rays of the sun, but I left them uncovered for the picture. I also stuck some leftover small onions from last year into a pot, hoping they will produce green onions we can eat before I need to pull them up to put in a Sun Gold tomato at the end of April. Looking forward to the delivery of my onion plants and the start of the tomato seeds this weekend. Spring is coming, even if there are a few more days of February. So glad.
